Brigid Shorts
Description: In Celtic religion and Irish mythology, Brigit or Brighid is the daughter of the Dagda (the "All-father") and one of the Tuatha Dé Danann (a race of people thought to derive from the pre-Christian deities of Ireland). Brighid was once the divine patroness of poetry, smithing, medicine, arts and crafts, cattle and other livestock, and was associated with fire and the coming of spring. During the Middle Ages, she was syncretized with a Christian saint, and became St. Brigid of Kildare or Ireland, who is one of Ireland's patron saints along with St. Patrick and St. Columba. She is also often referred to as Mary of the Gael.

Perfect for Irish heritage celebrations, St. Brigid's Day, church events, pilgrimages, thoughtful tokens, and anyone who treasures Celtic art, Christian symbolism, and meaningful devotional artwork.
Description: Brigid (sometimes St. Brigid - Christian version) is the Celtic goddess of healing, creativity, fire and water. She rules the alchemical process of uniting opposites and resolving contradictions in order to create harmony. That’s why I thought this quote by the first female prime minister of Israel, Golda Meir, was perfect for this picture. Meir said she was not a feminist but her actions belied that statement. And while other statements may have shown indifference to the plight of the Palestinians, there was no doubt that she loved her own country deeply. None of us are perfect but we all have a little bit of each goddess within us, and this quote by Meir shows a complete alignment with Brigid's flame.
Description: The image is a serene, art-nouveau–inspired portrait of St Brigid rendered in soft, warm tones. She occupies a central, arch-shaped panel framed by intricate, flowing ornament—stylized vines, interlaced knotwork and curling leaves that echo Celtic decorative motifs. In her cupped hands she holds a small bowl of milk. She is associated with wisdom, poetry, healing, protection, smithing, and domesticated animals. The whole scene is contained in an ornate Art Nouveau–inspired border: curling vines, stylized leaves, and knotwork © Tuesday, January 13, 2026, 1:35:19 PM Tracey Harrington Simpson
Description: St Brigid Cross February Imbolc Festival: Brigid's cross or Brigit's cross is an ancient cross traditionally woven from straw. Brigid's crosses are associated with Brigid of Kildare, one of the patron saints of Ireland. Brigit's cross was a Celtic cross that evolved into a Christian symbol. In pre-Christian Ireland, 1 February, Brigid of Kildare's feast day, was the date of the Imbolc festival, a holiday associated with the beginning of spring. A Gaelic traditional festival halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. © Saturday, January 20, 2024, 6:47:53 AM Tracey Harrington Simpson
Description: Also known as Saint Brigid's Day, Imbolc is one of the four seasonal Holidays of pre-Christian Ireland, (along with Lugnasa, Samhain, & Beltane,) and falls on February 1st. A great way to shown off your Irish Pride! - Original design/artwork by Christopher P. Toler / Tip-Tops Celtic
