Broadcast Station Shorts
Description: The station has been overrun. Deep in the forest, an isolated broadcast facility has gone silent, but something is still transmitting. Featuring a vintage radio tower, abandoned communications station, glowing red warning lights, and distressed lettering, this retro horror design captures the eerie atmosphere of classic monster movies and mysterious late-night broadcasts. Inspired by 1970s creature features, analog horror, Cold War technology, and forgotten television stations, it’s perfect for horror fans, science fiction enthusiasts, radio operators, and lovers of vintage broadcasting. The signal hasn’t stopped. Whatever took over the station doesn’t want to be found.
Description: This broadcaster brings late-night personality to a playful spooky radio scene. The cheerful mushroom broadcaster wears headphones behind a microphone, surrounded by radio equipment, records, a crescent moon, and a flying bat. Bold red, cream, and black details give the artwork a distressed retro look with an after-dark mood. The smiling mushroom characters keep the eerie theme fun rather than frightening. A fitting choice for music lovers, night owls, retro horror fans, stickers, laptops, or casual graphic outfits.
Description: In 1927, NBC-operated radio network was called the NBC Blue Network. It would later on become an independent radio (and, eventually, television) network known as the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) in 1943. ABC later joined United Paramount Theatres forming American Broadcasting-Paramount Theatres (later American Broadcasting Companies, Inc.). After its venture into radio and television throughout the 1960s and 1970s and the purchase of ESPN Inc. in 1982, the company would later be acquired/merged with Capital Cities, forming Capital Cities/ABC in 1985. The company ultimately sold to The Walt Disney Company in 1995.
Description: Radio Veronica was a Dutch pirate radio station that began broadcasting in 1960 from a ship anchored in the North Sea, catching much ire from authorities. It was set up by independent radio, TV, and household electrical retailers in the Netherlands to stimulate the sales of radio receivers by providing an alternative to the state-licensed stations of the Netherlands. Broadcasts began on April 21, 1960, with the station announcing itself as VRON (Vrije Radio Omroep Nederland; Free Radio Station [of the] Netherlands) but changed to Radio Veronica, after the poem "Het Zwarte Schaap Veronica" (The Black Sheep Veronica) by the children's poet Annie M. G. Schmidt. Radio Veronica became the most popular station in the Netherlands.
