Description: The cheetah is a large, slender, and fast-running wild cat native to Africa and some parts of Iran. It is the fastest land animal and can run at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour (112 kilometers per hour) for short distances covering around 1,500 feet (460 meters). Cheetahs have a unique body structure and adaptations that enable them to achieve such high speeds. They have long, slender legs, a flexible spine, and a small head with keen eyesight to help them track prey. Their distinctive spotted coat provides excellent camouflage in the grassy savannahs where they live and hunt.

Its head is small, rounded, and has a short snout and black tear-like facial streaks. The coat is typically tawny to creamy white or pale buff and is mostly covered with evenly spaced, solid black spots. Four subspecies are recognised
