Coffee Penguin Shorts
Description: After spending the last 25 years entombed beneath a dull drop ceiling and the beigest of beige drywall, Santa Monica’s vintage 1959 Penguin coffee shop is being restored to its Googie glory. The jaunty-roofed dining room was designed by architects Armet & Davis (you know their work from Norms, Pann’s, and Johnie’s on Wilshire) and served up burgers and malts for generations before the building became a dentist’s office in 1991.
Description: Secure your morning brew with this cool, retro coffee penguin graphic. Featuring a stylish penguin sporting sunglasses and a knit beanie while tightly clutching a to-go coffee cup against a distressed vintage sunset, this artwork perfectly sums up that essential "need caffeine to function" energy. Ideal for coffee shop regulars, baristas, and anyone looking for a humorous, highly relatable graphic to represent their daily caffeine ritual on mugs, totes, or tees.
Description: For anyone who physically cannot function before their first morning cup. I sketched out this heavily sleep-deprived little penguin buddy holding onto a warm brew using a textured, single-color block print style to capture that slow, early-morning energy. Whether you are a dedicated night owl, an early riser by necessity, or just someone who needs a moment to thaw out before facing the world, grab your favorite mug and welcome to the club.
Description: Embrace the chill of the season with this cozy winter penguin graphic. Showcasing a sweet penguin bundled up in a thick blue knit beanie and scarf, holding a large mug adorned with a mountain range, this artwork radiates pure snowy day comfort. Set against a beautifully illustrated backdrop of snowy pines and peaks, it's the perfect design for nature lovers, coffee addicts, and anyone who prefers to spend their winter days sipping hot cocoa in a mountain cabin.
Description: An incredibly cute chibi kawaii penguin wearing a cozy knitted pom-pom beanie and wrapped in a warm autumn blanket detailed with golden maple leaves and stitched hearts. Sweetly holding a warm, steaming cup of coffee with a red heart emblem, this charming little bird is ready to enjoy the fall season. A perfect design for penguin lovers, winter animal fans, coffee enthusiasts, and anyone who adores cozy sweater weather aesthetics, making it a great addition to t-shirts, mugs, and stickers.
Description: Grumpy but cute! This sleepy penguin in a little beanie, hugging a big mug of coffee, is the perfect mood for anyone who needs caffeine before they can be a person. The retro badge design and simple kawaii art style make it a fun everyday tee. Perfect gift for penguin lovers, coffee addicts, night owls, students, nurses, and anyone who is not a morning person. Great for birthdays, or as a "just because" gift for friends and family.
Description: That escalated quickly. This hilarious vintage mascot design features a panicked penguin watching a simple coffee spill turn into total workplace chaos, with papers, folders, a laptop, and office supplies flying everywhere. Perfect for office workers, remote workers, coffee lovers, stressed employees, penguin fans, sarcastic humor lovers, and anyone whose workday can go from calm to chaos in seconds.
