Description: The Dead Alewives were an improvisational comedy troupe based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, active during the 1980s and 1990s. They are best known for their offbeat, "geeky" style of comedy and for launching the careers of several notable comedy writers and performers, most famously Dan Harmon (creator of Community and co-creator of Rick and Morty) and Rob Schrab (director and writer).
