Description: The original Milwaukee Mustangs is a franchise primarily recognized by the Arena Football League. They entered the league in 1994 and played until just after the turn of the century, 2001. The team's name would be revived roughly ten years later after a fan vote in 2011 changed the name of the 2009-10 Milwaukee Iron into the Milwaukee Mustangs, a team that would play until the 2012 season. The 1994 Milwaukee Mustangs are one of only six teams in AFL history to go winless in the regular season.

The team moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2000 and played as the Indiana Firebirds through 2004 before disbanding. Then the city of Albany ventured into the world of arena football again, this time joining the AF2 in 2002, creating a new franchise by the name the Albany Conquest.

The Cobras debuted on April 30, 1988 at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. An announced crowd of 10,157 watch the Cobras lose to the New York Knights 60-52. Los Angeles finished the season with a 5-6-1 record, which was just good enough to slip into the playoffs. They lost to the Chicago Bruisers in the semi-final round on July 23, 1988. This would prove to be the franchise’s final game.

The Toledo Goaldiggers played in the International Hockey League from 1974 to 1986, replacing the city's previous team, the Blades (later Hornets). After 10 years in Toledo, that club moved to Lansing, Michigan at the end of the 1973/74 season. The Goaldiggers suspended operations in 1986 and were eventually sold to a group from Kansas City who renamed them the Blades and revived the franchise for the 1990/91 IHL season. Description: The Jersey/Hampton Aces are a defunct professional ice hockey team that played in the Northeastern Hockey League during the 1978–79 season and the Eastern Hockey League 1979-80 season. The team was initially based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and played its home games at the Cherry Hill Centrum (formerly Cherry Hill Arena), an arena that had previously served as home to the Jersey Knights of the World Hockey Association and the Jersey Devils of the Eastern Hockey League. The team almost folded before it played its first game, as owner John Doherty proved to be underfinanced. However, Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Mike Schmidt stepped in and purchased a controlling interest in the franchise.
