Description: Zebu (scientific name: Bos taurus indicus) or zebu is an Asian subspecies of the Bos taurus species, known as domestic cattle. Zebu is sometimes treated not as a subspecies of Bos taurus, but as an autonomous species named Bos indicus. Zebu differs from taurine cattle in some mainly physical characteristics.
