Description: Founded in 1946 by chemical engineer William Kiefer in his family's suburban New Jersey garage, Bel-Ray began as a specialist in high-temperature bakery lubricants, developing its first product to withstand the extreme conditions of commercial ovens. This modest start quickly evolved through innovation, leading to pioneering non-toxic, food-grade lubricants and expanded product lines that set the bar for quality. Bel-Ray would soon look to meet the needs of high performance racing applications, starting with creating specialty oils, greases, and fluids engineered specifically for high RPM motorcycle engines operating in extreme conditions ranging from off-road racing to grand prix circuits, all from their Farmingdale, New Jersey HQ.
