This method called fourier series allowed us to construct very complex signal by only using the summation of sine and cosine signal. Furthermore by taking some statistic method, the scientist figure out that this complex signal can be transformed into frequency domain, so the analyzing or utilization of signal was becoming more advance. Nowadays application of fourier transform can be found everywhere.
