Description: Pale Noh Theater Oni in Vermilion Robe, Edo Woodcut Japanese Demon Art Pale as bone, eyes rimmed in blood red, fangs bared. This ivory-faced oni glares out from a vermilion kimono like a villain stepping onto a Noh or kabuki stage. Fine hatching, sharp engraving-style linework and long swept horns give it the feel of an antique Edo-period print, while the red robe adds a bold pop of color. A striking pick for lovers of Japanese theater, yokai folklore, ukiyo-e inspired art, horror aesthetics and tattoo design. Detailed enough for framed wall art, bold enough for tees, hoodies, stickers, posters and phone cases. Face the villain. Wear the stage.

Description: In the heart of downtown Chicago's Loop area stands the Oriental Theater, formerly known as the Iroquois Theater, where ghostly echoes of a tragic past continue to resonate. In the infamous fire of 1903, nearly 600 souls met their untimely end. Although the theater underwent a complete transformation and a rebranding, the spirits of the departed endured. Ghostly apparitions have been reported in "Death Alley," the somber street behind the theater where the bodies of the victims were once laid to rest—a chilling reminder of the theater's haunting history and a prominent stop on Chicago's ghost tours.
