Description: "Grackle In the Morning Sunlight" I heard this female Great-tailed Grackle arriving before I saw her. When I turned, she had landed very close and was lit beautifully by the morning sun. Captured along the Nature Trail in Port Aransas, Texas, mid-autumn. ©Debra Martz, All Rights Reserved In My Collection: “Feathered Friends” 20251017-DSC_9150 AI Text: A bird perches quietly on a branch, illuminated by the warm sunlight. The clear blue sky serves as a serene backdrop.
Description: "Grackle Perched on a Rail" This female Great-tailed Grackle appeared to be deep in thought as it gazed out across the marsh from the railing on the boardwalk. It was 30 minutes after sunrise, and I was still seeing the effects of the golden morning light. Captured from the boardwalk at Leonabelle in Port Aransas, Texas, mid-autumn. ©Debra Martz, All Rights Reserved In My Collection: “Feathered Friends” 20251013-DSC_8216

Description: "Close-Up of Watchful Great-tailed Grackle" I was walking the boardwalk next to the convention center on South Padre Island when this grackle landed on the rail near me. It then stared directly at me as if I was in its way...for what I'm not sure!
