Description: The Owl House began with a small cardboard box I made by hand. I covered it with paper made from banana plant fibers, then brought together natural flowers and plants, ornate metal details and a tiny owl to create a little world of its own. I love the meeting of these materials: the softness of the plant fibers, the delicate dried flowers and the intricate patterns of the metal window, leaves, feet and ears. Each detail invites you to pause and look a little closer. Original miniature dimensions: box 5 × 5.5 cm, depth 3 cm; approximately 7 cm wide including the ears and 8 cm tall including the feet and owl.
