Description: The Intrepid Fox was a pub at 97–99 Wardour Street, Soho, London, established in 1784 by the publican Samuel House, who named it after the prominent British Whig statesman Charles James Fox. It was a popular spot with rockers in the ’60s and ’70s, but new ownership in the late ’80s really gave it a great goth pub vibe. The updated club’s eclectic, dark interior attracted punks, goths, and metal heads alike, and played host to countless bands over the years before closing in 2006.
