Description: With much less detail, this is a gravestone replica of Michelangelo's "The Pietà". Here sits Mary holding her son Jesus who has just died on the Cross. I have many emotions when viewing and pondering this image. As a mother myself, my heart breaks for Mary as she had to watch her first born endure a most horrific and undeserving death. However, I have even deeper emotions knowing that this is how my Lord and Savior sacrificed himself for me; for all of us, so that we may be with Him one day. This is True Love.
