Agent Peggy Carter took approved candidate, Steve Rogers, there, where they met the seemingly old and frail woman who ran the counter and let them through the secret entrance. Rogers was put into a pod where he was injected with a super-enhancing serum that transformed his body beyond peak physical condition. Unfortunately, the Nazi spy Heinz Kruger infiltrated, shooting dead the only person who knew who to recreate the formula, Dr. Abraham Erskine.
