Description: This design originally came from an engraving by Hendrick Goltzius in 1588, which I have restored, redrawn, and digitized. The text reads: "NON AMBIRE PROBAT SAPIENS, SED LAVDAT HONORES, LAVDA CONTINGANT SI TAMEN ILLA PROBIS. SIC PHAETONTAEVS NIMIVM TEMERARIA LAPSVS VOTA DOCET TANDEN FINE CARERE BONO." Which roughly translates to: "The wise man demonstrates that he does not search for but appreciates the honors. And recognizes if happens to honest. Phaeton’s error shows that very frivolous requests ultimately do not have a good ending." Check out more of my art a

The artwork features Freya, goddess of love and fertility, framed by intricate Celtic knots in an elegant Art Nouveau illustration style. Perfect for fans of Viking art, mythology lovers, and those who admire Nordic heritage and divine feminine energy. Ideal for everyday wear, fantasy conventions, or as a mystical gift for mythology enthusiasts. Works beautifully for seasonal occasions like Halloween, Yule, and Winter Solstice, while remaining an evergreen Art Nouveau-inspired design for those who cherish pagan, Celtic, or Viking art throughout the year.
Description: This is a graphic illustration of a protective amulet, commonly known as an evil eye or Nazar. The design is stylized, featuring a central eye composed of concentric circles: a black pupil, a light blue iris, and an orange or tan outer ring. Sharp, spiky rays in two shades of blue emanate outwards from the central eye, giving it a sunburst or star-like appearance.
