The team's franchise liage started in 1982 as the Wisconsin Flyers. The franchise spent two seasons in Rochester, Minnesota before relocating to Omaha in 1989 to become the Racers.
Description: The Omaha Knights was the name of three minor league professional ice hockey teams from 1959 to 1965 and from 1966 to 1975, based in Omaha, Nebraska, at the Ak-Sar-Ben Arena. The Knights were founded in 1959 as members of the International Hockey League. Following the 1962-63 season the team moved to Toledo, Ohio, becoming the Toledo Blades. A new Knights team joined the Central Professional Hockey League for the 1963-64 season.

Description: By the late 60s, Johnny Carson was one of the biggest names on television, being seen by 8 million Americans every weeknight. So I guess that somewhat makes sense that he entered into a partnership to launch a restaurant franchise called 'Here's Johnny's!' Like many endeavors celebrities have entered into, Carson really had very little to do with the restaurants, though he did attend the grand opening of the first one in 1969 in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. More than 300 franchises were purchased, but far less than were ever actually opened. By 1970, there were just eight restaurants in operation, mostly in the Omaha area and by 1979, the chain had gone bankrupt amid a series of lawsuits from franchisees with various claims.

Description: The Storz Brewing Company was located at 1807 North 16th Street in North Omaha, Nebraska. Storz Brewing began in 1876 by Gottlieb Storz and was owned by the Storz family until 1966; the brewery ceased operations in 1972. Their beers won several prizes in international competitions, and Storz was the top selling brand in Nebraska starting in World War II. Storz was one of the "Big 4" brewers located in Omaha, which also included the Krug, Willow Springs and Metz breweries.
