Description: A dramatic reinterpretation of Orestes Pursued by the Furies, inspired by the mythological artwork of John Singer Sargent. Haunted by the consequences of his actions, Orestes flees the relentless Furies, ancient Greek spirits of vengeance. Surrounded by threatening figures, serpents and swirling drapery, he struggles to escape his supernatural tormentors. Rendered in a striking linocut and woodcut style, this design combines powerful silhouettes, expressive carved hatching and a vivid palette of vermilion, ivory and blue.
