Oscillation Shorts
Description: Rendered on a deep dark background, this artwork presents a damped oscillating signal f(t) transformed into its frequency response F(s), with the integral F(s) = ∫₀^∞ f(t) e^(−st) dt in bold type. Pierre-Simon Laplace (1749–1827) developed the integral transform that bears his name. Engineers use it every day to solve differential equations and analyze circuits, control systems and signals. A gift idea for mechanical engineers, makers and engineering students, and a fitting piece for a workshop, office or study.

Description: A science and mathematics visual featuring a differential equation, 'v dv/dx = -ω²x', above a graph of a sine wave with axes labeled 'y', '+A', '-A', '0', 'π/2', 'π', '3π/2', '2π', and 'ωt x'. To the right is a polar coordinate grid with concentric circles and radial lines, showing a segment of a circle and the label 'ωt'. The entire composition is in white on a black background.
Description: A black background with two lines of text. The top line reads "I'M NOT" in white and "LATE" in red. The second line reads "I'M JUST OUT OF PHASE" in white and light blue. Below the text is a visual representation of two offset sine waves, one red and one light blue, intersecting a white horizontal line.
Description: A bold, white text reads "I'M NOT" above a red text that reads "LATE". Below that, white text states "I'M JUST OUT OF PHASE". The bottom of the composition features a white horizontal line representing an axis, with two overlapping sinusoidal waveforms, one red and one blue, shown above and below the line.
