Description: An Osprey flying. The Osprey is a very cool raptor, considered the “King of Birds” in Buddhism, and often representing the mythical Thunderbird in Native American art. This beautiful bird of prey is also called “Sea Hawk” or “Fish Hawk”, because they eat fish almost exclusively, and can be seen frequently flying over the ocean, lakes, and rivers.

Captured along the 4800 ft boardwalk at South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center the last day of February.
