Description: Rendered on a deep dark background, this artwork presents a wooden cinematograph camera with its brass lens above a film strip whose five frames show a train growing closer, at 16 frames per second. In 1895 the brothers Auguste and Louis Lumière of Lyon patented the cinématographe, a camera, printer and projector in one, and held the first public paid film screening in Paris. Cinema was born. Made for photographers, filmmakers and anyone who loves to capture light, it suits a studio, study or living space.
