Description: Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) is an American public broadcaster and non-commercial television network that launched in 1970. Based in Arlington, Virginia, PBS is a major source of educational programs for public television stations in the U.S. Operating as a private, nonprofit corporation comprised of local public TV stations across the U.S., its programming is produced by member stations, independent producers, and other entities, rather than a central production arm. PBS aims to educate, inspire, and entertain through high-quality programming covering news, science, history, and the arts. This is the logo design that was used between 1971 and 1984, which is probably of the most memorable ones.
Description: The future of the United States depends on an educated and empathetic citizenry. It requires us to share a sense of common purpose and recognize our common humanity. It requires an environment that allows every child to thrive and see themselves included in the American story. It requires quality public education. Full stop.
