Description: Sometimes a design is so bad that its good and that is exactly what makes this 'Why Waltz When You Can Rock & Roll' design so damn good. Well, that and Corey Feldman rocked it in 1987's Lost Boys as Edgar Frog. From the off the wall message and bad typesetting to the strangely boxed & circled ampersand and the oddly proportioned M-16, this one has it all!
Description: In the meantime, Sam Emerson has made the acquaintance of two young brothers, Edgar and Alan Frog. The Frog brothers run the local comic book store for their burn-out parents. Upon learning that Sam is new to the area they force a couple of vampire themed comic books on him despite his protestation that he does not like horror comics. They explain to him that they may one day save his life. Sam is initially mocking of their claims but becomes suspicious of his brother Michael's increasingly bizarre behavior, including sleeping all day and being sensitive to sunlight. One day, as Sam is taking a bath, Michael, driven by bloodlust attempts to attack him, but is fought off by the family's dog.
Description: Silent films date back to the 1830s, and better theaters accompanied them with live music and effects provided by pipe organs. When sound films came arrived in the 1920s, theaters removed the pipe organs in favor of new sound equipment. In the '60s, someone decided to put one of these organs into a Bay Area pizza restaurant, and it was a hit. Bill Breuer like the concept and opened his first restaurant, Pizza and Pipes, in Santa Clara, California in 1962, choosing the biggest pipe organ he could find. A decade later, he opened a second location in Seattle, eventually opening in Tacoma and Bellevue. Other restaurateurs opened their own, and in the '70s and ’80s, pipe organ music could be heard in more than 100 pizzerias across the country!
Description: Cupertino, California is known for a lot of things, but what most people don’t know is that there is a 3,510-acre limestone quarry hidden in plain sight along Permanente Creek just west of town in an unincorporated area of Santa Clara County. The massive quarry has been in operation since 1939 when it was started to supply concrete for the construction of the Shasta Dam, and today is responsible for the production of more than half of the cement used in the Bay Area.

Description: The Tewa (or Tano) are a linguistic group of Pueblo Native Americans who speak the Tewa language and share the Pueblo culture. Their homelands are on or near the Rio Grande in New Mexico north of Santa Fe. The Arizona Tewa, descendants of those who fled the Second Pueblo Revolt of 1680-1692, live on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona, mostly in Tewa Village and Polacca on the First Mesa. Tewa (also known as Tano) is one of five Tanoan languages spoken by the Pueblo people of New Mexico. Though these five languages are closely related, speakers of one cannot fully understand speakers of another (similar to German and Dutch speakers). The six Tewa-speaking pueblos are Nambe, Pojoaque, San Ildefonso, San Juan, Santa Clara, and Tesuque.
