Description: The saying "Sic Semper Tyrannis" is Latin and translates to "Death to Tyrants" and is attributed to Marcus Iunius Brutus, who is said to have said it during the assassination of Gaius Iulius Caesar. This cool "Sic semper tyrannis" design with skull and small dagger is perfect for your next demonstration or rally.
Description: Sic semper tryannis, Thus always to tyrants. The phrase was recommended by George Mason to the Virginia Convention in 1776, as part of the commonwealth's seal. The Seal of the Commonwealth of Virginia shows Virtue, spear in hand, with her foot on the recumbent form of Tyranny, whose crown lies nearby. The Seal was planned by Mason and designed by George Wythe, who signed the United States Declaration of Independence and taught law to Thomas Jefferson. A joke referencing the image on the seal that dates as far back as the Civil War, is that "Sic semper tyrannis" actually means "Get your foot off my neck."
Description: As a woman and artist with a Veteran Marine beloved in my life, I hear all about various forms of military humor through him - the biggest one referring to “Crayon Eaters” … as an artist my imagination can take his descriptions and create the most literal variations of them - hence my Bulldog Marine Devil Dogs + Crayons (lovingly re-dubbed Krayums) … I hope you LOVE it and plan to share it with your beloved [and much respected] Marine Corps counterpart, wife, son, husband, uncle, aunt, niece, daughter, grandparent …whatever the case may be. If you’re the Marine, thank you for your service and Semper Fi!!!!
