This Stanley EX, 10 horse-power steam car, built in 1907, is still capable of quite a turn of speed, and is seen here being put through its paces at the Great Dorset Steam Fair at Tarrant Hinton, near Blandford, Dorset, England. This car is one of only three in the United Kingdom and one of only 31 in the world. The Stanley Motor Carriage Company was based in Newton, Massachusetts in the United States and manufactured steam powered vehicles including this one between 1902 and 1924. The company was founded by twin brothers Francis and Freelan Stanley, who produced their first car in 1897. Date: 5th September 2015.
