The Sonics Shorts
Description: This stark black-and-white stencil artwork of The Sonics embodies the primal energy and stripped-down force of one of garage rock’s earliest and most influential bands. The minimalist silhouettes capture their no-frills approach: raw, loud, and unapologetically wild. Known for their distorted guitars, pounding drums, and feral vocals, The Sonics laid the groundwork for punk, grunge, and countless underground movements. This design pays homage to their uncompromising sound—a furious blend of rock and roll rebellion that still feels dangerous and alive decades later.
Description: The Seattle SuperSonics, commonly known as the Sonics, were a professional basketball team based in Seattle, Washington. The SuperSonics played in the National Basketball Association as a member club of the league's Western Conference Pacific and Northwest divisions from 1967 until 2008
Description: Before punk had a name, Tacoma was already making noise. This The Sonics inspired design channels the raw electricity of Pacific Northwest garage rock through blown-out amplifiers, savage vocals, distressed print textures, and the rough energy of a forgotten 1960s gig poster. Built for listeners who prefer their rock loud, dirty, primitive, and dangerously alive.
