Description: Samurai Gohst on Demon Skull Ukiyo-e design for T-shirts and more. This is the artwork by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, he is known and called as last Ukiyo-e artist. His new ukiyo-e style was completely different from Hokusai, or Hiroshige, old style ukiyo-e and it was almost like looking at an action comic. The character in this art is Taira no Tomomori who committed suicide in the ocean after he lost battle. This is the scene he came back from the ocean as a ghost with a demon skull. He almost looks like a villain from the action comic. It is hard to believe this was a Japanese artwork more than 100 years ago.
