Description: Wally Gator was an American cartoon series that ran on TV as part of a syndicated cartoon block from September 3, 1962, to August 26, 1963 for 52 episodes. The show's title character, Wally Gator, is an anthropomorphic, happy-go-lucky alligator who wears a collar and a pork pie hat. Although his catchy theme song describes him as a "swingin' alligator of the swamp," he actually lives in the city zoo. The zookeeper, Mr. Twiddle, keeps a close watch on Wally, who likes to check out what life is like in the outside world, and routinley gets into trouble.
