Wilkes Shorts
Description: The Wilkes-Barre Red Barons were a minor league baseball team based in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. The team arrived in Lackawanna County in 1989 from Old Orchard Beach, Maine, where it was previously the Maine Phillies and before that Maine Guides and were renamed the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons. The name was chosen as a reference to the early minor league franchises in the area, the Scranton Red Sox and the Wilkes-Barre Barons, both members of the Eastern League.

Description: The early days of drag racing were largely a run what you brung affair, but by 1954, the true dragster shape and form had emerged and was a refinement of the earlier “slingshot” concept. Built using haphazardly assembled tube steel pipes, these cars gained the nickname “rail jobs.” In 1956, Both Scotty Fenn (on the west coast) and Pat Bilbow (on the east coast) decided it was time for a dragster chassis built of quality materials and welded by professionals. Scotty called his new company “Chassis Research, Inc.” and Pat retained his firm’s already established name, Lyndwood Welding Co. and by 1957, both had produced a pro built dragster chassis and both claimed to be the first, though depending on who you ask, that remains up for debate.
Description: A throwback to the raw days of American stock car racing, when dirt tracks, roaring engines, and homemade race cars created legends one lap at a time. This vintage-inspired North Wilkesboro design captures the gritty spirit of 1947 with an old-school racing aesthetic made for fans of classic motorsport and Carolina racing history.
Description: A retro-style oval emblem with a distressed texture. The text "LYNDWOOD WELDING CO." is displayed in bold, capital letters, followed by "Home of the Eliminator!" in a script font. Below the oval, "WILKES-BARRE, PA" is written. Red lines radiate outwards from the oval like sunbursts, against a black background.
