Zmiy Shorts

Description: Old fires burn longest. In Ukrainian folklore, the Zmiy is a powerful dragon or serpentine being appearing throughout ancient legends and heroic tales. This vintage folk-horror design imagines the Zmiy coiled around a burning mountain fortress, watching over a Carpathian village beneath an enormous moon. Ukrainian-inspired ornament and weathered illustration give the creature the character of something far older than the stories told about it. Inspired by Ukrainian folklore, Slavic mythology, dragons, legendary serpents, Carpathian traditions, and old-world fantasy. Kingdoms rise and disappear. Villages change. But some ancient fires never truly go out.
