Description: Dead of Night debuted in 1973 as part of the Bronze Age revival of horror and supernatural comics. The anthology reached newsstands with a December 1973 cover date and initially drew heavily on eerie pre-Code stories, bringing tales of haunted houses, ghosts, ghouls, monsters, and supernatural revenge to a new generation of readers. With lurid covers, shadowy artwork, and wonderfully melodramatic titles, Dead of Night captured the feel of classic pulp horror while fitting comfortably alongside other creature-based titles of the era. The series lasted just 11 issues, from December 1973 through August 1975.
