So, I attempted to depict the space race of a futuristic 80’s as if it were drawn in the 1960’s. I have always loved retro sci fi but I particularly love old art attempting to envision the future. I love studying what that type of art got right and wrong. The fun part was adding all the little Russian stuff, like the picture of Lenin and the cathedral of St. Basil’s spire rockets.
