I put it somewhere clever Socks

It all looks organized until you actually need to find something. Then the system becomes a mystery. There are places for things, places for important things, and one very safe place where the thing you need apparently disappeared forever. You search once, then twice, then check the same place again because maybe reality changed during those thirty seconds. Your past self clearly put it somewhere sensible. Your current self simply has no idea where that sensible place is. So the search continues, confidence slowly fades, and eventually you find something completely unrelated that you forgot existed. That is not a failure. That is a bonus discovery. Somehow, it still works. That is probably fine. No big deal. Still a win.
