Description: When the Tri-Lambs left Adams College to attend the 1987 United Fraternity National Convention in Fort Lauderdale, they learned that their reservations at the upscale Royal Flamingo Hotel had been given to the Alpha Betas and that the property doesn't want to be associated with nerds. After looking around with no luck, the displaced Tri-Lambs find a place willing to take them in by the name of Hotel Coral Essex. Sure, it's located in a shady part of town and getting robbed and/or stabbed is a possibility at any time, but hey, it's still on the beach. Thanks to the hospitality of the Hotel Coral Essex, the nerds were not only able to attend the conference, but were able to through one of the biggest bashes in Fort Lauderdale history.
Description: Lambda Lambda Lambda is the historically black national fraternity from the Revenge of The Nerds and the only one that agrees to consider them (because they did not include a group photo, unlike all the other fraternities that rejected them on that basis). U.N. Jefferson is the president of Lambda Lambda Lambda who agreed to consider the group on the basis they had no chapter at Adams College, but when he sees that only one of the nerds is black, he admits a predominantly white group is not the ideal image for Lambda Lambda Lambda. Poindexter says that on the basis of the fraternity code, the nerds must be accepted, as Tri-Lam law says any considered group is awarded an automatic 2-month probationary status.
