Description: On January 1, 1893, six local breweries joined forces and opened Grand Rapids Brewing Co. Over the next two decades, they built a monumental brewery at the corner of Michigan Street and Ionia Avenue, what is now the site of a state office building. Capitalizing on the location’s ample supply of fresh spring water and a refreshingly drinkable flagship beer, Silver Foam, GRBC became one of Midwest’s largest and best-known breweries. In 1920, Prohibition brought that success story to a crashing halt. When the bans on alcohol production and sales were lifted, GRBC merged with several other breweries and eventually left town.
Description: This is a really obscure breweriana design hailing from Brazil, Indiana which was and to out knowledge still is the only brewery to every operate in Brazil. Brazil Brewing Ice and Power Co. opened in 1901 and closed in 1907 it was open for 6 years. As a Pre-Prohibition Brewery, any advertising items or collectibles are likely to be desirable to collectors as they tend to be hard to find. Brazil Brewing Ice and Power Co. was the only brewery that was located in Brazil, IN at West Main St. at the city limits. This design is based on a curvy sign shape in promotion of Brazil Beer. The center depicts a distinguished gentleman with a sword surrounded by the taxt 'Brazil Brewing Company - Brazil, Indiana.
Description: Jackson Brewing Company, or Jackson Brewery, was a regional brewery operating in New Orleans, from 1890 to 1974. One of two breweries selling Jax beer, along with Jacksonville's Jax Brewing Company, it was popularly known as the Jax Brewery. At its height, it was the largest brewery in the Southern United States. Its French Quarter building is now a historic landmark in New Orleans and houses restaurants, apartments, and entertainment venues. The brewery was founded by Lawrence Fabacher in 1890 as Jackson Bohemian Brewery; its name was later changed to Jax Beer and finally Jackson Brewing Company, after Andrew Jackson and Jackson Square.
Description: Located in West Oakland, Golden West Brewing Company was Oakland's biggest and longest-running brewery. Beginning as Washington Brewery in 1891 and ending their run as Pacific Brewing in 1959, they operated under various owners and names, though Golden West Brewing Company was the one they retained for the longest time. The brewery produced a number of beers under various company-owned labels, including Bull's Eye, which was purported to be one of the cheap beers of the time popular with the working man and day drinkers alike.

Quandt Brewing Co. Inc. was in an active brewing city. Troy, NY was listed as having 34 breweries, which is quite a few. Sometimes a large number of breweries can lead to an active collecting community that will be willing to pay more for breweriana items than other collectors.
