Description: Deathtouch is a keyword ability that causes any amount of damage dealt by a source with deathtouch to be considered lethal damage. This means that even if the amount of damage dealt is less than the toughness of the target creature, that creature will be destroyed. If a source with deathtouch deals damage to a player, that player will lose that much life. Deathtouch is usually represented in the rules text of a card by the keyword "deathtouch," and the ability is often associated with creatures that are dangerous or poisonous.
