Description: In the '80s, skateboarding was either having a resurgence, or just coming into its own, all depending on who you ask. While there was no shortage of big name skateboard manufacturers, there were also quite a few entry level brands that skipped the skateboard shop in favor of mass marketing through big box stores. Valterra Skateboards was one such brand that sold complete skateboards at a fraction of the price of the majors. This worked out well for mom and dad in deciding to pop for one or not, just in case their kid's 'possessed to skate' phase was just that - a phase. All told, Valterra was one of the better entry level mass market manufacturers and this 1986 Ramp Champ design is a fine example of the cheesy graphic themes they employed.
