Description: Sandy Belond was a Southern California hot rodder and one of the first dry lakes racers to go over 100 mph. He opened Sandy’s Muffler Shop in 1938 and aside from traditional exhaust work, Sandy began designing and building custom headers and exhaust systems that quickly became a popular on the local hot rod scene.
