David Ruffin Socks
Description: Prior to its release, Brian De Palma's Phantom of the Paradise had to go under extensive edits removing the Antagonist's company from the film (mostly replaced with Death Records). This was due to Led Zeppelins record label also being named "Swan Song". Fan edits of the movie have used this footage left on the cutting room floor to try and recreate the original vision of the film. I have recreated the company logo and created a little tribute to this easter egg.
Description: David Ruffin joined The Temptations in 1964, transforming the Motown group into a global sensation with his raw, impassioned lead vocals. Delivering iconic hits like "My Girl," "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," and "I Wish It Would Rain," his soaring tenor and magnetic stage presence defined the group's prime classic era. However, escalating ego clashes and missed performances created severe internal friction, leading to his dismissal in 1968. Ruffin later achieved solo success with "My Whole World Ended" and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside the group in 1989.
