Description: The Niagara Spartans were a semi-pro football team active for three seasons between 1979 and 1981. During the 1980 and 1981 seasons the Spartans held their home games at Hyde Park Stadium. The Spartans played in the Atlantic Football Conference in 1979, the Mid-Atlantic Football League in 1980 and 1981. After 3 seasons with losing records the team closed its doors in 1981.
Description: Founded by Donald E. Frederick and Nels B. Nelson in 1891, Frederick & Nelson was known as Seattle’s premier department store. The business expanded to include home delivery of goods, a tea room, and ready-to-wear men’s and women’s fashions, a great deal of which was very much on-trend and from upscale designers. The owners built a reputation for elegance and customer service that was beyond compare in the Seattle area. The Christmas season at Frederick & Nelson was a very special time with stunning window displays, over-the-top decorations, and numerous events held in-store to celebrate the season. This early '60s design is reminiscent of the great holidays of the past that are now just a memory from a long-gone Seattle icon.
Description: The Oklahoma minor league team was originally known as the Oklahoma City 89ers from 1962 to 1997. It first competed in the Triple-A American Association (AA) in 1962, moved to the PCL from 1963 to 1968, and returned to the AA from 1969 to 1997. The franchise's original name made reference to the Land Run of 1889, which led to the founding of Oklahoma City.
Description: The Syracuse Nationals were an early American Basketball team that began playing in the National Basketball League in 1947. The Nationals were one of seven NBL teams that were absorbed by the Basketball Association of America to form the NBA in 1949. In 1963 the team relocated to Philadelphia and changed their name.
Description: The Salt Lake minor league team was renamed the Salt Lake City Gulls in 1975 but remained as the Angels' top affiliate through the 1981 season. In 1982, The Gulls switched to the Seattle Mariners organization. Following the 1984 season, the team was relocated to Calgary, Alberta, and became the Calgary Cannons in 1985.
