Description: Similar to Holden's Sandman panel van, the Sundowner featured bright colours and sharp paint work, bubble sharp window, spoiler, driving lights, sports steering wheel, driving lights, alloy wheels with XC and XD panel vans receiving the treatment. Escort and Transit van variations were also sold. Featuring a 351 Cleveland motor, the Sundowner wasn’t particularly focused on performance - rather a cruiser for young drivers. Now highly sought after for restorations and with parts hard to come by the Sundowner is rising in value together with the Sandman as well as Chrysler’s version titled the Drifter. Description: Ink illustration of a lanner falcon. Drawn using one of my own photographs as reference, I used mostly Sakura pigma micron marker pens and an Akashiya Sai ink brush pen for the darkest areas. The lanner falcon is a medium sized bird of prey or raptor found mostly in open country and savanna in parts of Europe and more widely in Africa. They are bred in captivity for falconry and prey on mostly birds and bats. There is around 40 species of falcon today, they are know for flying at high speed and have thin tapered wings to enable this. Lanner falcons are usually a slate grey or brown in appearance with lighter feathers giving a mottled effect, they also have yellow feet and legs and yellow patches on the face around the beak and eyes.
Description: Horus is one of the most significant ancient Egyptian deities who served many functions, most notably god of kingship and the sky. He was worshipped from at least the late prehistoric Egypt until the Ptolemaic Kingdom and Roman Egypt. Different forms of Horus are recorded in history and these are treated as distinct gods by Egyptologists.[2] These various forms may possibly be different manifestations of the same multi-layered deity in which certain attributes or syncretic relationships are emphasized, not necessarily in opposition but complementary to one another, consistent with how the Ancient Egyptians viewed the multiple facets of reality. He was most often depicted as a falcon, most likely a lanner falcon or peregrine falcon.
