Kylie is in awe of Egon Spengler when the series began, but this soon shifts to a more equal footing and becomes somewhat of the unofficial leader in the field, after Egon. When he was a child, Roland was impressed by Ecto-1 at an auto show and some Ghostbusting equipment they brought along to a car show. Roland is mechanically inclined, a skilled engineer and as such works a great deal on the Ghostbusters equipment. Roland approaches the paranormal from a practical point-of-view, and his only fear is the breakdown of his equipment. He has a blue Ford Mustang.

They’re not hero figures nor are they even ghost figures. They’re literally Monsters. Kenner in no certain terms made sure we knew what our parents were buying. Classic, perhaps vintage horror characters based on either literature, film, or both.
