Description: The Hoth asteroid field, also referred to as the Anoat Asteroid Belt and Hoth Belt, was an especially wide swath of countless free-ranging planetesimals confined to a set orbit. Located at the outermost edge of the Hoth system—the far end terminating in the Anoat system—within the Anoat sector of the Greater Javin region of the Outer Rim Territories, the Hoth asteroid field was the resulting effect of a collision millions of years prior to the Galactic Civil War between what were once the system's two farthest outlying planets. Large and rocky in composition, the planets were fractured into scattered chunks of debris that were strewn throughout the system and eventually were pulled into erratic orbits.
Description: Gowix Computers was a computer-manufacturing company headquartered on the planet Corellia for much of its history. Founded sometime before 300 BBY, it was acquired as a subsidiary of the Tagge Company in the years before the Clone Wars, and Gowix became a staunch supporter of the Galactic Republic and later the Galactic Empire, under its new parent company. However, privateer raids sanctioned by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War eventually forced Chief Executive Officer Gohn Danfeil to relocate the company to the planet Corulag.

Description: Golan Arms was a company that produced the DF.9 turret placement, a model of fixed laser cannon emplacement. During the Galactic Civil War, the Alliance to Restore the Republic used Golan DF.9s on the planet Hoth during its fight against the Galactic Empire there. Golan Arms also produced the SP.9, a mobile artillery piece utilized by the Imperial Artillery Corps of the Galactic Empire.
