Description: Ii Naomasa (井伊直政) was a general under the Sengoku period daimyo, and later shogun, Tokugawa Ieyasu. He is regarded as one of the Four Guardians of the Tokugawa along with Honda Tadakatsu, Sakakibara Yasumasa, and Sakai Tadatsugu. The kamon of Ii clan is Maru ni tachibana (丸に橘) or "citrus Tachibana in a circle".
Description: The Ii clan (井伊) is a Japanese clan which originates in Totomi Province. It was a retainer clan of the Imagawa family, and then switched sides to the Matsudaira clan of Mikawa Province. A famed 16th-century clan member, Ii Naomasa, was Tokugawa Ieyasu’s son-in-law and one of his most important generals. This is the kamon (family crest) of the Ii clan, Maru ni tachibana (丸に橘) or “citrus Tachibana in a circle”. Below the crest is “Ii” in kanji.
