Ink Pattern Socks
Description: I started this mini-series back in 2016 and, honestly, didn't know what the end result would be. At the time, I was just cranking them because they were fun, and I completed one within a few hours. The majority of the Skulls and Buddhas series are either 4x6 or 5x7 inches. It always seemed to me that the symbolism of skulls and the Buddha (in a meditative pose) is similar. In the practice of sitting meditation, we confront the inescapable reality of impermanence, and the skull often symbolizes mortality. The simple fact that we will have to face our own last breath.
Description: Make a bold statement with this hand-inked black and white clover mosaic pattern. Solid four-petal blooms sit beside squares filled with fine hatching, crosshatched diamonds, and tiny pin-tipped lines, all woven together in a repeating grid. The mix of bold black shapes and delicate linework looks like a patchwork quilt, vintage ceramic tile, or intricate folk art textile. This design is perfect for artists, doodlers, pattern lovers, and anyone who loves detailed monochrome style. It makes a great gift for creative friends, art teachers, quilters, designers, and fans of Zentangle and ink drawing.

Description: Gouache and watercolors bleed and clash, but this is not a conflict. Lines and patterns create boundaries, sometimes overlap, but no territory can be claimed. The unconscious being manifested on paper to create some identity for itself, but it's non-existence and changes often like clouds that pass through the open sky. The “Builder” suggests a moment’s pause and enjoy what is right in front of you.
