Description: Hand-inked with a calligraphy pen on paper + digitally coloured in Photoshop. I’ve chosen to draw a sparrow because this bird is quite special to me. I was a tiny kid and my dad liked to call me ‘sparrow’. Sparrow is a continuation of my ‘Mandala Animals’ Series of drawings, and a slight evolution of the style. For this piece, the mandala style is toned down and I have chosen a more realistic colour palette. It still maintains the strong, tattoo-art inspired line work and flat, graphic colour application.
