Description: I found this praying mantis in my backyard, still alive and being attacked by ants. I removed the ants and took it away, but it didn't survive. I thought it was very beautiful with its wings that look like a skirt, and this inspired me to start a new series of insect paintings, some from my backyard, others from my childhood.
