Interstate Socks
Description: Los Angeles Seattle Motor Express (LASME), began with the partnership of two trucking companies in 1932. The companies were Hendrix Refrigerated Truck Lines, located in Seattle, and Los Angeles Seattle Motor Express. The two companies merged and continued under the name of the latter company. The company was purchased in 1949 and the new owners did not share the lofty expansion ambitions of many other trucking companies of the time, and instead, LASME focused on their namesake west coast corridor, though the company did successfully extend their reach into Vancouver, British Columbia. In 1968, LASME was merged with DC International and T.I.M.E. to form T.I.M.E.-DC, the Los Angeles Seattle Motor Express name was no longer used.

Description: Reddaway Truck Line was founded in 1919 by William Arthur "Art" Reddaway in Oregon City, Oregon with a single Model T truck. He managed the company with his wife, Ethel, and later, his son, Walter, succeeded him and led the company until his retirement in 1970. Reddaway Truck Line ran the I-5 corridor hauling general commodity and LTL freight between Alaska and California with 20 terminals along the way. In 1989, the firm was brought out by an Australian conglomerate and at that time, the truck line had over 800 pieces of company owned equipment and were one of the largest carriers on the West Coast.
Description: If you were a trucker who running Interstate 35 through Minnesota between 1968 and 1993, odds are that you stopped at Country Driver's Truck Stop in Burnsville at least once. By 1983, Interstate was losing $20 million annually, leading to bankruptcy and eventual liquidation in 1984, marking the end of a 52-year legacy in freight transportation.
