Jungle Cruise Skipper Socks
Description: Hippos and guns. Guns and hippos. So much of a Jungle Skipper's life seems to revolve around those two things. Well, that and bad jokes. Still, the fraternity of Skippers is 60+ years old, and it never leaves your blood. (As you may have noticed, much of our work revolves around Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise Skipper culture. We host a podcast devoted to the subject, and these items are independent homages to the Golden Era of Adventure that the stories from the ride take place in.)
Description: We all have Parents. Well, that is the assumption. I mean, otherwise, how does that work? Regardless of that, we know that the parents of Jungle Cruise Skippers are a special breed. They have to, well... put up with us. Put up with the jokes, the silliness, the horribly scheduled hours. But, still, at the end of the day, they are proud of us... Somewhat.
Description: Jungle Skippers have a secret set of signals that they use while navigating their boats around the rivers of the world. They also have a secret set of signals that they use while drinking at the bar, and we wanted to make sure that these were decoded for easy translation. (As you may have noticed, much of our work revolves around Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise Skipper culture. We host a podcast devoted to the subject, and these items are independent homages to the Golden Era of Adventure that the stories from the ride take place in.)
Description: We all have Partners and Spouses. People who are the center of our world, and we are theirs... But we know that the partners of Jungle Cruise Skippers are a special breed. They have to, well... put up with us. Put up with the jokes, the silliness, the horribly scheduled hours. But, still, at the end of the day, they are proud of us... Somewhat.

Description: Everyone wants to be a Princess, right? All the working on the latest dress for the next ball. Plus, there's always managing the servants and the house, balancing the castle budget, and so so many rooms to decorate. Plus, the moment there's an uprising, guess who gets their head on the chopping block first. That's why everyone wants to be a Jungle Skipper. No responsibility, a life of adventure, and a remarkably low level of interaction with French peasants. Description: I've been trying to play with retro styles lately, and this was based off an old 1970's t-shirt that I found. I tried to imagine how this pattern would feel on an old shirt, so the tri-blend t-shirts with their heathered styles are probably the best fit. I also did a distressed version of this for a wash and wear feel.
Description: Jungle Cruise Skips can have a wide range of styles. But Sarcastic Skips always seem to stick in the minds of our guests. Sometimes it's hard not to slip into a darker mood, particularly when you have hours of glassy eyed tourists and international guests who don't get the jokes or the language. I *try* not to get bitter... but it happens

Description: At the World Famous Jungle Cruise in Anaheim, a series of gunshots fired indicate problems with the ride or boats. a "6 Shot" situation is the worst, meaning your boat has come off it's guide. From the dock, hearing 6 "bangs" is a rare occurrence, but standing there when you hear it is an unforgettable experience. (This is a very specific and niche design, really just for Jungle Cruise Skippers from DIsneyland...)
