Description: Sometimes in order to move forward we first need to look backwards. Where did we come from? How did it all start? What would we do differently? What did we learn? Sometimes the path forward starts with tracing our steps back, just for a little bit. Back in time, maybe even back in space. Because sometimes the answers we're looking for hide in the shadows of our memories. Sometimes they are there already, we've just forgotten about them... Sometimes first we need to follow a long forgotten path backwards in time in order to be able move forward in our lives. I hand drew this artwork with fine liners, but after scanning it in and doing some corrections I colored it in digitally.
Description: This artwork features the delicate beauty of the wax flower—an Australian native and one of my personal favourites. With its soft white petals, pink centers, and lush green foliage, the piece unexpectedly bloomed into something almost jungle-like. I hadn’t imagined that when I first painted the original, but I love how the vibrant layers and golden outlines brought it to life in such a wild, elegant way. Perfect for nature lovers, botanical enthusiasts, or anyone drawn to the charm of native flora.
